Terms and Conditions of Hire

As the hirer, you are responsible for taking all necessary precautions to prevent injury to users and damage to the equipment. We reserve the right to refuse hire if we believe these regulations have not been followed. If you are unclear about any of the terms below, please contact us. During the hire period, you are accountable for supervising the equipment, ensuring its safety, and addressing any misconduct while the equipment is in use.


Deposit / Booking Fee

Bookings must be made online, and a non-refundable booking fee (a small percentage of the total hire cost) is required to confirm your reservation. Once the booking fee is paid, the equipment is reserved exclusively for you and unavailable to others on the same day. The booking fee is non-refundable as it covers administrative costs.


Delivery, Setup, and Collection

  • Delivery and Collection Hours: Deliveries and collections are made between 7am and 11pm. Please ensure someone is available during this time.
  • Delivery Fees: Delivery charges to your postcode will be shown when selecting your delivery area.
  • Confirmation of Delivery Slot: We will confirm the delivery time via email approximately 24 hours before your booking date. We cannot provide a confirmed delivery time before this.
  • Venue Requirements: For venue or hall bookings, you must confirm the access and event times with us via email before booking.
  • Space and Accessibility: Ensure there is enough space for our equipment, that the location is accessible, and the surface is suitable. Access paths should be at least 70cm wide and clear of obstacles. For indoor venues, check the ceiling height, as this is a common issue. If we cannot deliver due to insufficient space, access, or an unsuitable surface, no refund will be issued.
  • Weather, Vehicle, or Illness Delays: If we are unable to deliver due to weather, vehicle failure, illness, or other factors, we will notify you as soon as possible.
  • Overnight Hire: Availability for overnight hires depends on weather conditions. If heavy rain is forecast overnight, inflatables cannot be left deflated outdoors.
  • Equipment Return: You are responsible for ensuring all hired equipment is available for collection on the agreed date. If we are unable to collect due to your event running over or access issues, a £50 fee will be charged.
  • Damaged or Soiled Equipment: If any equipment is returned damaged or excessively dirty, we may charge for repairs, cleaning, or replacement costs. You may not attempt repairs yourself.

Booking Cancellations

  • Cancellations Within 72 Hours: If you cancel within 72 hours (3 days) of the hire date, the booking fee is non-refundable, but you are not required to pay the remaining balance.
  • Cancellations More Than 72 Hours: If you cancel with more than 72 hours’ notice, we will allow you to transfer your booking fee to another date (subject to availability) on one occasion.
  • Cancellation Process: Cancellations must be submitted in writing via email to info@bouncenfun.co.uk, and you will receive an acknowledgment from our team.
  • Failure to Set Up: If we cannot proceed with setup due to inadequate space, unsuitable surfaces, or other issues, you will still be liable for the full booking amount.
  • Health & Safety Concerns: We reserve the right to cancel bookings if there are health and safety concerns for the hirer, guests, or public. We will also not set up in conditions like heavy snow or rain. No refunds will be provided for cancellations made under these circumstances.

Change of Booking Date

  • Date Changes: You may change your event date up to 48 hours (2 days) in advance, subject to availability. If less than 72 hours’ notice is given, a new deposit will be required, and the original deposit will be withheld.
  • Change Request Process: Date changes must be submitted in writing to info@bouncenfun.co.uk and acknowledged by our team. No refunds will be given for any money already paid.

Weather-Related Cancellations

  • Outdoor Bookings: Outdoor bookings are at your own risk, and we cannot control the weather. We do not offer outdoor bookings from November to February.
  • Indoor Venue Recommendation: For a guaranteed booking, we recommend securing an indoor venue.
  • Weather Safety: We will only cancel outdoor bookings if safety is a concern (e.g., strong winds or continuous rain). We monitor the weather daily through Accuweather and aim to notify you of any cancellations as early as possible.
  • Cancellation Timing: Weather forecasts can change, so we will not make cancellation decisions until 6am on the hire day.
  • Postponements: If we cancel your booking due to weather-related safety risks, we will offer to reschedule your booking, subject to availability. No refund of booking fees or deposits will be provided.

Change of Products & Booking Value

  • Product Changes: Changes to products are subject to availability.
  • Booking Value Adjustments: Changes to the booking value are only allowed if the new booking is of equal or higher value.

Bouncy Castles and Inflatable Slides

  • Age Limit: Inflatable equipment is for children aged 12 and under. Ensure no one over this age uses the equipment.
  • Food and Drinks: No food, drinks, or gum should be consumed on or near the inflatable to avoid choking hazards and damage. If the inflatable is returned dirty or damaged, a cleaning or repair fee of £20 or more may apply.
  • Personal Items: All footwear, glasses, jewelry, and badges must be removed before using the inflatable.
  • Prohibited Items: No face party poppers, streamers, silly string, or ink-based products should be used near the inflatable.
  • Safety Rules: Climbing, hanging, or sitting on the inflatable walls is dangerous and strictly prohibited. A responsible adult must supervise the inflatable at all times. No alcohol or substances are allowed while using or supervising the equipment.
  • User Limits: Limit the number of users based on age and size. Ensure that large and small children do not use the inflatable simultaneously to prevent injuries.
  • Prevent Misconduct: Discourage horseplay, including pushing, fighting, or risky behaviors. Somersaults and flips are not allowed.
  • Inflatable Use: If the inflatable is not in use, switch off the blower. Do not allow anyone to bounce on the front safety step. Never allow users on the inflatable during inflation or deflation.
  • Maintenance: If the blower stops working, ensure all users exit the inflatable immediately. Check the fuses and ensure no obstructions are preventing the blower from functioning. If it overheats or loses power, restart the blower after a brief pause. Contact us if the issue persists.

Errors made in Bookings

It is the responsibility of the hirer to provide accurate and complete information when making a booking. We reserve the right to cancel bookings if incorrect or missing details are provided, such as:

  • Incorrect package selection (e.g., booking a bank holiday package for a non-bank holiday).
  • Incorrect date or time selection (e.g., booking for the wrong day).
  • Missing or incorrect contact details (e.g., incorrect delivery address or phone number).
  • Failure to respond to our communications or provide necessary information may result in the cancellation of your booking.
